EarthCorps volunteer event at Terminal 105 Park August 16th, 9 am-12 pm:

Join EarthCorps and the Port of Seattle as we restore this site along the Duwamish River. Terminal 105 restoration construction was completed in 1995; prior to that, the narrow property was used as driveway and parking lot. Now it is a Port of Seattle public access site with picnic tables, a hand boat launch, and a small natural area. Environmental stewardship activities began in 2000. EarthCorps is working with the Port of Seattle to remove additional invasive weeds along the main river channel and replace them with native plants.

EarthCorps supplies gloves, tools, water, light refreshments and volunteer education that covers safety, information on the park you are working in, forest health, environmental restoration and the overview of the project. No prior experience is necessary, just come ready to learn something new!
