From South Seattle Community College (WSB sponsor):

The South Seattle Community College Art Gallery will present “How We Remember Our Veterans” a multimedia show created by faculty, staff and students. The showcase will run from November 5 to December 4, 2013.

The Opening Reception for the exhibit will take place on November 12th, 12 pm-2 pm, immediately after the Flag Ceremony on campus. Instructor Bob Dela-Cruz arranged to have a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capital in honor of South Seattle Community College for the ceremony.

The show is a collaboration between the Art Gallery and the members of the President’s Advisory Committee on Veterans. Memorabilia, photos, uniforms and other media are used to remember and honor family and friends that have served or are currently serving in all branches of the military through a variety of presentations.

The show is also co-curated by South alumni, Peder Andreas Nelson, Assistant Exhibits Developer at The Museum of Flight.

Admission to the South Seattle Community College Art Gallery is free and open to the public. For Gallery hours and information about future exhibits, visit www.southseattle.edu/art-gallery.
