YOUNG SCIENTISTS: Building STEM Skills
Presented by Amelia Bachleda, Ph.D.

The Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (I-LABS) at the University of Washington is a nationally respected leader in research about how children learn.

Amelia Bachleda from I-LABS will discuss how that research, in practical terms, can be useful in everyday parenting with all young children, who are born scientist.

Discover how children’s interactions with their environments enhance learning and skills related to STEM education – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Amelia Bachleda, Ph.D. is a member of the Outreach and Education Team at the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences. I-LABS is an interdisciplinary center that studies early learning and brain development. Amelia specializes in sharing the latest scientific discoveries in ways that are accessible and engaging. She has a Ph.D. in neurology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where her work was focused on developmental neuroscience.
