Starting Wednesday, September 9th, in partnership with Amy Au, Neighborhood House High Point will be offering a free Music and Movement Class for Toddlers. This class will be an introduction to singing, guided movement, and pattern recognition activities through the use of musical instruments and song designed for children ages 2 to 5 years old. This program will be offered every Wednesday from 10:30 am–11:00 am. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Amy Au is a pianist and violinist with a passion for education. She received her B.A. at the Eastman School of Music and later on her graduate degree in music education at Columbia University in New York City. There, she taught at various schools in the city and became the music director for the Mandell School. She eventually moved to West Seattle with her husband and kids in 2014 and absolutely loves it! Amy is looking forward to serving the families at the Neighborhood House and meeting all the little musicians.

“Music and Movement” will be followed by “Play and Learn” from 11 am-12:30 pm, a free drop-in play group for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers.
