Celebrate Earth Week with your neighbors at the West Seattle Tool Library! Join us on Sunday, April 19th from noon to 4 pm for fun and food.
Need a tool you don’t own? You can rent it from the library! The West Seattle Tool Library is a project of Sustainable West Seattle. We provide tools for DIY projects and for community organizations. Our goal is to contribute to an earth friendly society and encourage a sharing economy.
There will be plenty of fun for the whole family, along with great food and drinks. Here’s what we have planned for April 19th:
– Healthy local foods BBQ, including veggies, burgers, brats, and delicious side dishes
– Kids gardening and worm farm, including making your own newspaper pot and plant seeds to take home
– Tool Library membership discounts
– Late tool return amnesty – have a tool that you borrowed and forgot to return? Bring it back on April 19th – no questions asked!
– Free garden tool sharpening and repair and wheel barrow repairs
– DIY bikes free bicycle repair
– Tool library tee-shirts for purchase – or, even better, bring your own tee-shirt for DIY silk screeningThe tool library is located at the Youngstown Cultural and Arts Center, 4408 Delridge Way SW. We are recommending a donation of $10 for individuals or $20 for families for the BBQ, but no one will be turned away!
