It’s just under a mile, up a very steep hill. Right by the dock, you’ll see a street that comes downhill – that’s California Way – here’s a map with the directions.

It looks like the Route 775 water taxi shuttle goes that way but doublecheck with the driver – I haven’t taken the shuttle in a long time, and I’m not sure if it goes up the hill or comes down the hill (meaning you’d have to ride around the rest of the route first) – map here:

Note there are TWO shuttle routes, 773 and 775, so be careful which one you get on!

What is easiest way from passenger ferry drop-off to parade route?

From West Seattle, they’re best visible from spots like Hamilton Viewpoint Park, Admiral Way Viewpoint, Don Armeni, Seacrest – Alki Beach itself (I mean the actual beach) always had a good view of the old waterfront fireworks but the Lake Union fireworks are somewhat behind Queen Anne if you look from that angle.

This is our first 4th in Seattle. Can you see the fireworks at Lake Union/Gas Works Park from Alki Beach or Seacrest Park?

Just wanted to let the folks in WS know that the Heartland Cafe will be serving breakfast on the 4th of July. Restaurant opens at 9am, The Benbow Room bar at 10am. We will stay open until 3pm. This weekend we launch a new Breakfast and Lunch menu. Yummy!
