WHALE-WATCHING UPDATE: Now off Alki Beach

This morning’s sighting post was a long time ago so we’re starting a new one – multiple reports of orcas visible off Alki Beach right now. While one report has them around 58th and Alki, they’re also reported to be heading north.

I am in Colorado but can’t miss my daily look at the splendid photos presented each day by expert photographers.  They make my day better, especially the birds.I sure hope I can see the orcas someday in our local waters.  What a national treasure they are and it seems we aren’t doing much to secure their health.Let’s make a huge ruckus so something is done not just talked about.  Lets get the kids involved.

We encountered 2 pods while in our canoe paddling between Southworth and Blake Island around 5 last night.  It was absolutely stunning to experience this magnificent beauty in a small watercraft. I was laughing and crying the whole time.  Been trying to catch a glimpse for at least 20 years!! Thanks for posting :)

Sorry, comment time is over.
