Another Saturday full of possibilities! From the WSB West Seattle Event Calendar, here are some of them:

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The West Seattle Lions Club‘s benefit breakfast with all-you-can-eat pancakes and more is ready for you to drop in 8-11 am at the Senior Center/Sisson Building. $8 donation. (4217 SW Oregon)

HELP FINISH THE ROXHILL ELEMENTARY/EC HUGHES PLAYGROUND: It’s wood-chip-moving day! Friends of Roxhill appreciates volunteer help – 9 to 11 am or 11 am to 1 pm, as explained here. If you haven’t already signed up, just show up – the playground’s on the north side of the campus. (7700 34th SW)

MORGAN JUNCTION COMMUNITY FESTIVAL: 10 am-4 pm at Morgan Junction Park, presented by the Morgan Community Association, with highlights including the Bubbleman, live music, Bark of Morgan dog parade, Spatter of Morgan painting activity, Desmond Hansen painting a mural, and lots more. The entertainment and activities schedules, plus food menus, are here; the vendor/community group (etc.) booth list is here. (6311 California SW)

LOW-LOW TIDE: This month’s final -3-feet-or-lower low tide is -3.4 at 1:30 pm, and you will find Seattle Aquarium volunteer beach naturalists at Lincoln Park (8011 Fauntleroy Way SW) and Constellation Park (63rd SW/Beach Drive SW) 11 am-3 pm.

COLMAN POOL: This is the last “pre-season weekend” for the outdoor salt-water pool on the shore at Lincoln Park, with swim sessions noon-7 pm. (8011 Fauntleroy Way SW)

NURTURING THE ENVIRONMENT & FOOD ACCESS: This is part of the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association‘s “Let’s Talk Race” series, 1-6 pm at Camp Long. Food and child care provided. More info here. (5200 35th SW)

‘LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL’: 3 pm matinee at ArtsWest – “a stirring portrait of jazz legend Billie Holiday as she performs one of her last solo concerts, four months before her death. Ticket info and more here. (4711 California SW)

WHISKY WEST TURNS 2: The festivities start at 6 pm as Whisky West (WSB sponsor) celebrates 2 years! Featuring special beers with the team from Farmstrong Brewing. (6451 California SW)

SUMMER SOLSTICE SUNSET WATCH, EARLY: Change-of-seasons skywatching with Alice Enevoldsen is a few days before the summer solstice because of her schedule this time around, but it should be a beautiful evening and she hopes to see you 8:30-9:30 pm at West Seattle’s Solstice Park. SO LONG, SOUTH SOUND TUG & BARGE: The resistance-songs trio’s final gig is tonight, 9 pm-midnight, at Parliament Tavern.
