Seen off West Seattle, again: Former ferry Annabelle

Thanks to Gary Jones for the photo of the former Herron Island ferry Annabelle off West Seattle this afternoon. Seems to be an every-four-years tradition – we featured reader photos of the Annabelle in 2014 and in 2010. The newest reference we can find suggests it’s still being used as a houseboat in Tacoma.

I saw this yesterday…must have missed it previously in 2010 and 2014. Next time I will know better. Thanks.

She’s been enjoying the glorious weather up here in the San Juan Islands this week! I snapped this yesterday (7/13) as Annabelle leisurely motored down the San Juan Channel, having passed us headed north a couple of days earlier. What a great boat!

Alex, your pic isn’t showing for me here but it must be the pic that was posted on the Herron Island FB page? I think you may need to email the pic to the WSB Editor at  westseattleblog@gmail.com to have it posted here. .Mike

Sorry, still trying to fix the “images in comments” feature, which unfortunately LOOKS to users like it’s working, but the images are getting stuck somewhere on the way to publication.

I emailed over the photo, Mike– thanks for letting us know about the code glitch!

Sorry, comment time is over.
