WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: 5-year-old’s bicycle stolen

Mark says his son’s bicycle was stolen from Alki last night, near 57th/Stevens:

Description: “It is black, gray, and red. It has pegs on the front and is a Kent 1800 abyss. Has a name plate under the seat with his name Logan on it.” Report # T18005002 – call police if you see it.

Below the belt, very frustrating that theses bike thefts continue to happen. I wish the City would get tough on these thieves and make them pay for the crimes they commit.

Hmmmm……I saw a kids’ bike that looked like this one (same Kent Abyss 1800, red and black) on the back of a red Corolla in the parking lot at the Y tonight.  It stood out to me, because I had just seen this photo on the Blog this morning.  Took down the plate number of the car (which I have), but I didn’t remember about the pegs, or what the identifying mark was (i.e. the name plate under seat), so I can’t be certain it was the stolen bike; perhaps this is a common kids’ bike and just a coincidence, but I did wonder.

Sorry, comment time is over.
