Grrrr! you northbound I-5 line cutting cheaters:  silver Scion xB and blue BMW coupe.

Time for emphasis patrol! A motorcycle officer used to hang out at the North bound entrance to I-5. Seemed to be an effective deterrent to those inconsiderate “line-cutters”.

It’s turning everyone into tailgaters.  Gotta keep that gap to under 3 feet between your car and the car ahead or someone will sneak in.  Always one driver sleeping though.  Act like a train!

There needs to be an officer to ticket the cars riding the bus lane, sometimes I see 4 cars in an 8 minute span while waiting to get on 99.  Ridiculous.

There was a cop giving out a ticket today. I couldn’t tell from the bus exactly for what but it was on the bridge and looked like SOV in the bus lane.

Sweet. Wish they could patrol the bus lane and the illegal to cross double white line I5 north area more often.

I wonder if it’s too skinny to put in those yellow, flexible tubes on top of the double white.  I guess people would just nose in right before that point though.  Bottom line, “mind the gap”,  no gap, no cheating.

T – I wish I could triple-like this comment. After waiting in the line for the 5-10 fair minutes it takes to get through it to I5 north, it’s SUPER frustrating watching people go cut right before the on ramp at the double white lines. Even worse, are the people who try to get over when there are only two lanes and the right one goes to I5 south and they get a line building up behind them. What a mess.

Gee, what you folks are not seeing here is the fact that

there are some people that are just so wonderful, so clever, their time so valuable,

that they are exempt from the rules that govern mere mortals.

I take some comfort in knowing that even as they self-congratulate on their oh-so-cute moves,

ahead, congestion is organizing itself to present them with even greater challenges.

They will spend their drive miserably, pulling one sleazy trick after another.

    What a life.

I see a lot of violations in these two areas as well. It’s frustrating. I have been in touch with police leadership and have filled out online forms. I encourage you to do this as well. I believe it makes a difference. It may not be as often as we would like but at least it alerts police to illegal activity and they can address it as best they can.

The newest violation that I’ve noticed that irks me is on 1st Ave S.  Southbound between Holgate and the ramp to the bridge, when traffic is moving too slow for folks, I’ve witnessed them jumping into the left turn lane, going to the front of the intersection then jumping back into the SB lane.  Have yet to see that enforced..

Sorry, comment time is over.
