Flipped-car crash in Seaview

Thanks to Doug B for the photo from a flipped-car crash at 44th SW and SW Graham in Seaview this past hour. We missed it because it was originally dispatched as a “heavy rescue” to 44th South and South Graham, miles away, and didn’t catch the correction – by which time it was re-dispatched with only one engine after all, and the incident log shows that engine left two minutes after arriving, indicating no injuries of note.

Was at The Bridge when it happened. Some young gal is having a really bad night after not only flipping her car, but totaling two parked cars on the side of the road. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Slow down and put the phone away, kids.

There’s no proof she did either of these things so please don’t jump to conclusions.

Were you at the scene?  Did you talk to witnesses?  Did you speak with the two Bridge employees whose parked cars were hit?

If not, you are the one who is jumping to conclusions.

It looked like a field sobriety test was being performed, but the driver passed so she was sober fortunately.  I wonder what the cause of the crash was.  Glad no one was seriously hurt, could have been much worse!

Depending if it was before it started raining there were still a lot of random ice patches on side streets today, and they got increasingly invisible as they started to melt.  There were a ton a block over on Raymond still.   At least the parked cars know where the damage came from, dealing with a hit and run overnight on a parked car is an insurance PITA.

As Trickycoolj stated more than likely invisible ice and you need to still drive cautiously  and thankfully the driver is OK.

But I do have no sympathy for the insurance companies…if anything they love these snowy/icy days because  all they can see is $$$ going out of your pockets right into theirs!
