Thanks to Collin for the tip on this one – the photo shows one of two cars reported to be involved in a crash that is partly blocking Olson Place at Cambridge [map]. SFD has been dispatched. Avoid the area for a while.
My husband said they should install light poles on giant heavy springs on this street, so when people hit them, they just bend over and pop back up again.
Lots of the light standards are actually designed to break away so as to not cause more damage to those who hit them. Figure that one out.
