CONGRATULATIONS! State competition this weekend for runner from West Seattle

Another local high-school athlete is off to championship competition. Marissa Tweedy, a West Seattle-residing Holy Rosary graduate currently in her junior year at Kennedy Catholic High School, will run the 5,000 meters in the state cross-country championships tomorrow in Pasco. It’s her third year representing the Lancers at state, and the school reports that she is “coming off of two of her best races of her career,” including the district championships. (Thanks to proud mom Christine Tweedy for the photo and info!)

Congratulations Marissa! You have grown a bit from the pictures on the wall of your mom’s office.

So happy for your success in competitions this year. Keep up the great work! Hope to see more of your

race results.  Your West side community salutes your efforts!
