BIZNOTE: Happy 7th anniversary, West Seattle Autoworks!

Congratulations to West Seattle Autoworks (7501 35th SW; WSB sponsor) on seven years in business! We stopped by this morning for a photo – co-proprietor Todd Ainsworth is at center, with Sam Smith and Jesse Coffin. Todd and Chris Christensen opened WS Autoworks in October 2010, and have a gift for customers to celebrate the anniversary:

It’s been a pleasure and an honor to make our homes and our business in West Seattle and we’d like to thank you for your support!

If you make an appointment with us online during the month of October, receive a free travel mug, cup, or T-shirt! It’s just one small thing we can do to say “Thank You”!

With longtime West Seattleites at the helm, WS Autoworks supports the community – among other efforts, they co-present the annual West Seattle Car Show, which is a benefit for the South Seattle College Automotive Technology Program.

Only place I will take my car if its something not covered under warranty.   Great service and honest.  Sam is the man!

This makes me smile. You know how you happen to always see a particular person everywhere you go, it seems? Well, Todd is that face. No wonder!! Maybe I’ll have to bring my car in for a visit. I think it’s a sign.

Both Jessie and Sam are great.  I know word has spread because they’re usually booked a week out, for good reason!

Congratulations to them. I do have a question. is this post part of their advertising package? There are 100s of businesses in West Seattle. Surely the blog isn’t writing about every anniversary of every business. Is that something just for blog sponsors? Thanks

No, it’s not. A quick archives search of mentions of businesses having anniversary events (deals, parties, shows, giveaways, sales) dating back four months (because I’m out of time to go further back) also includes:

      Parliament Tavern
      Click! (sponsor)
      Second Gear (sponsor)
      Giannoni’s Pizza
      Elliott Bay Brewing Co.
      Beer Junction
      The Neighborhood Preschool

Counting WSAW, that’s more non-sponsor mentions than sponsor mentions. (And that doesn’t even count calendar mentions, which are more difficult to search.) But the key is – you have to *let us know* you’re doing something special.(Same goes for our calendar listings.) If you don’t tell us, we won’t know. editor@westseattleblog.com
