UPDATE: Search follows traffic stop at 28th/102nd

10:17 AM: Thanks for the tip about a King County Sheriff’s Office search – with Seattle Police assisting, as our photo shows – along 26th 28th SW a few blocks south of Roxbury. A deputy tells us that they pulled over a driver for a traffic stop (at 28th/102nd) and she got out and ran, so they’re trying to find her. As for why she was pulled over – we’re still trying to find that out.

10:33 AM: A K-9 is continuing to assist with the search; per scanner traffic, the car will be impounded.

Thanks, my photographer just confirmed that. He had originally said someone told us 26th/102nd but it’s 28th/102nd. Updating.

As I came home from Safeway I first saw two Sheriffs cars moving fast on Roxbury heading east.  Then less than a block later there were 5 or 6 Sheriff and Police cars blocking off 28th SW heading south.  Officer told me a canine was searching and to not let my dog out of the car.

Ah, wondered what this was about! Thanks for the update WSB!

KC Sheriff and Burien PD were watching 26th SW too, near 100th.  They left around 11am, after asking my husband if he’d seen anyone come through – nada over here, and we were outside most of the morning.

Lots of sirens around Gatewood any connection?

Nope. Just medical calls in Gatewood and Arbor Heights.

Sorry, comment time is over.
