UPDATE: About the police response on Delridge

3:11 PM: If you saw the police response on Delridge – with Guardian One overhead for a while – a short time ago, here’s what we know so far: They were following a vehicle, described as a gold or beige pickup truck type of vehicle, that did some sort of damage outside Home Depot. Per the scanner, the driver headed onto the eastbound bridge, then Northbound 99, and into downtown. A different precinct picked up the search there, so we don’t know if the driver eventually was stopped; meantime, we’re off to look at the reported local damage.

3:33 PM: Photos added, above. The damage was primarily to plants and shrubs that were on display outside the store.

Guardian1 tweeted that they caught him downtown.

I’m not certain that they *stopped* him. If you look at the tweet again it says they “found” him – I was still listening at that point – but not whether he (or she) was actually stopped and questioned/arrested/etc. We asked the officers who were at Home Depot and they didn’t know. (Hoping to see precinct rep at at least one of the community meetings we’re covering tonight, to ask about this and something else!) – TR

        Probably bailed from the car.

Saw the chase for a brief second. Was at the intersection of delridge/Andover when the driver zipped passed the intersection (red light) and onto the on ramp to the west seattle bridge. 3 cruisers were right behind him the closest being about 30 ft away. Hidden by the wailing sirens was the sound of the chopper only slightly behind the chase but in perfect position to track the driver. A wild 3 seconds for sure.

I don’t like those trees either but I’d never plow into them like this person did!

I am seeing some steep discounts on them!

Discounts? They don’t even discount broken/returned packages with half the parts missing.  Almost had to go to Lander just to find a full box of wall anchors to finish a project late on Labor Day. *grumblegrumble*

          You missed the joke maybe?

I was in the store when this happened. The guy had thrown a computer monitor at a desk person and had made threats to one of the managers. It seemed as though he was targeting the manager with his van. He almost rammed into another employee who was in front of the store by the entrance. I heard his swearing and the mayhem from a distance and it was quite a situation. Very scary and glad no one got hurt.

Not even safe at Home Depot now?! What the heck is going on around here.

Targeting the manager? For what, bad paint?

The customer was caught steeling product outside then tried to return them at the same store. This is why he was upset
