WEST SEATTLE WEATHER: Almost-historic rainfall

Thanks to Aaron Wells for that sunset photo from Thursday – one of just a few days since February 1st without rain, according to the latest stats tweeted tonight by the National Weather Service:

Seattle February & March precipitation now 13.73″, 4th wettest in over 120 years. Since February 1, precip on 36 days and 40 out of 45 70%+ cloud cover.

As of right now, though, the forecasts for Sunday and Monday both contain the phrase “mostly sunny.”

More like hysteric rainfall. We’re all going to have those flowers growing out of our hats like the munchkins.

Enough of the rain, please turn it OFF!

Dude, it rains in the Pacific Northwest.  Not frog-choking, but almost all the time.  Perhaps you’ve chosen the wrong region in which to live.  California awaits with open arms!

Yes, of course it rains a lot. But not like this. Which was the point of the story.

As for California (where I was born), kind of the same story this year.

Maybe Seattle is making up for all the abnormal nasty heat last few years! Hehe

I sure hope so. I moved here for the overcast weather and moderate summers. The past few years I probably would’ve been more comfortable in the southwest, same heat but they all have AC lol

@Darkhawke… dude it sounds like you need to move to California…precisely the Valley.

When you see water running out of yours and your neighbors rockeries like a waterfall and down the sidewalks like a river then yes I do believe us Seattleites have gotten a little too much rain this winter. So dude lighten up.

Sorry, comment time is over.
