CRIME WATCH FOLLOWUP: Police sketch of home-invasion robber

One day after a woman was robbed in her home northwest of The Junction, police have made a sketch based on the description she gave:

He is described as a white man in his 30s, 5’10”, medium build, short sandy brown hair, clean-shaven, wearing a tan “windbreaker” jacket and jeans. If you have any idea who he is, call detectives at 206-684-5535.

I swear I saw this guy in McDonald’s yesterday.  He refused to step back from the counter while waiting for his order, and I suspected him of trying to skim my credit card.

If you think you know who this is, the thing to do is to call police as per the information above, not try to post speculative identification information here. Thanks.

Dear WSB: I for one appreciate Anonyme posting here. Yes, going to the cops is important too. But if I have seen this individual in some other location I can find out about it in the WSB. If a call is just made to the police, neighbors never find out.

Yes, and this is why we ask people to let us know about crimes … *after they have reported it to the police*. If you just mention it here (or worse, somewhere online that is NOT publicly visible to everyone), it doesn’t get to the people who can actually do something about it.

Sorry, comment time is over.
