Car goes sideways onto Westwood sidewalk

Everybody got out OK after this car went off 34th SW near SW Cloverdale and onto its side on the sidewalk. Often these types of crashes are dispatched as “heavy rescues” but the people in the car were out before SFD and SPD arrived so it was a smaller, short-lived response. Police were still talking with them to determine what happened and said everyone was being “cooperative.”

Just saw this earlier as I was going for a walk in the neighborhood. Hope everything goes smoothly and glad it wasn’t more serious and noone got hurt.

Ballard was known for seniors who would park on the curb. West Seattle has car-flippers. It’s just good to have a sense of place.

Glad they’re ok. You can tell NASCAR season is upon us.

As discussed many a time in previous coverage of flip/roll situations, they are NOT necessarily the result of speed.
