BASKETBALL: West Seattle boys keep it close till the end vs. Nathan Hale

The Metro League semifinal boys-varsity basketball game between West Seattle HS and Nathan Hale HS is over. Though WSHS led at halftime, 40-34, Hale pulled away and got the victory, 72-59. The Wildcats will play at Chief Sealth IHS at 7:30 pm tomorrow vs. the loser of tonight’s Rainier Beach vs. Garfield game.

Why no parity coverage of the two West Seattle High Schools? Chief Sealth IHS Boys and Girls played tonight. Boys won 73-60 vs Roosevelt. Girls lost, but won last night.

Thanks for the updates! We do the best we can. During the past two hours, I’ve been covering the 34th District Democrats’ standing-room-only meeting while Patrick is in fact at Sealth, covering the annual Sealth-Denny safety meeting. Haven’t caught up to all the scores yet. Both of the WSHS games ended before the rest of the night’s events got revved up. All the games were listed in our daily preview, though I wouldn’t have known about the Sealth schedule if not for still having our old account on a list from having been Sealth parents before our son graduated in ’14. – TR

Great effort against the nations No. 1 ranked team and player, they’ll make some noise if they make it out of the league tourney…

Sorry, comment time is over.
