SURVEY: West Seattle’s Cooperative Preschools have a few questions for you

How can South Seattle College Cooperative Preschools better serve West Seattle families? The nonprofit system that has worked with so many local families is trying to find out through an online survey. They’ve already asked current co-op families but also want to hear from potential and past families – not just their thoughts about preschool options but also about opportunities for parent education, which is a big part of the co-op program. Find the survey here.

Anything to help co-op be better and reach more families. I loved my experience in co-op. I feel fortunate I started my daughter’s preschool experience here.

Oh what a surprise and such good news!  South Seattle’s Parent Co-op Preschool still exists!  My daughter (and I) attended 40 years ago and it was a perfect fit for us. It was reasonably priced and well staffed with professional educators. We met many children and families that became our friends,  We are still in touch with some of them and still laugh about the kid who wrapped himself around  his parent’s leg and refused to go in…day after day.  He eventually did go in and is a husband today with kids of his own. Co-op preschool was his first success.

I encourage any parent who can spend some volunteer hours with his/her child to do so and be enriched.  It can be a great start for your preschooler!

Great story. We also are Co-op Preschool alums – our son (now in college) was in the 3s and 4s at Lincoln Park Co-op. – TR

Please participate in the survey!  Co-op is a unique program and wants to serve the WS community in the best possible way.  Getting information about current programing and what else would be helpful is so important to keeping the program relevant and thriving.  Thanks!!!
