VETERANS DAY FLAGS: Community volunteers joined American Legion Post 160 in placing flags in The Junction this morning; this afternoon at 4 pm, you are invited to help take the flags down. Meet by the Campbell Building. (NE corner of California/Alaska)

VETERANS DAY DINNER: Veterans, active-duty servicepeople, Guard and Reserve members, and families are invited to Post 160’s free spaghetti dinner, 5:30-7 pm. (3618 SW Alaska)

VETERANS DAY CAKE: Salty’s on Alki (WSB sponsor) offers veterans who dine there for lunch or dinner today a free slice of white-chocolate-mousse cake and a $20 gift card for their next visit. Full details here. (1936 Harbor SW)
