5:09 PM: Seattle Fire has just dispatched a “full response” for a possible fire in a multifamily building at 2115 California SW in North Admiral. Updates to come.
5:13 PM: First unit on scene reports it’s a “smoking bathroom fan.” Most units have been dismissed.
Engine 29 as you know is a few blocks away and got there within a few minutes. Calling for a fan to clear the smoke!
Wow, I live half a block away and the blog was on this before I even heard the sirens!
This time, heard the scanner call before it even showed up on real-time 911. Easier with fire calls than police, where there is no “real time” online log, so if we miss the initial dispatch … we’re at the mercy of helpful people who text when they see the heavy police presence and wonder what’s up. (206-293-6302 24/7!)
