is anyone still riding 56/57, when they are cancelled every other day, sometimes without notice?  how can anyone rely on that to get to their jobs?  next step of course from Metro will be (planned obsolescence) we’re deleting 56/57 due to low ridership; that’s what they did to the 51 that used to stop right at my building; and 56/57 were my regular buses that I could walk to anytime day/night and reliably get downtown; those days, long gone; Metro does not appear to care at all about workers in Admiral who need those buses to get to their jobs

so, so funny…got a flyer in the mail from KC Metro singing the virtues of taking either the 56 or the 57…and offering a free Orca card or free bus tickets. I’ll take the free tickets…but..why in he!!’s name would you promote the very routes you keep cancelling?

Saw someone call in the Fauntleroy accident this morning. We called police since it was still there hours later, they said someone was on the way. It was still there recently so I think the police set up a bait car. I don’t support police entrapment so I hope it’s just a busy day for them.

According to scanner traffic a couple hours ago (maybe even the response from your call?), the crash was moving car vs. parked car. The car left on the side of the road was supposed to be getting a tow arranged by its owner. A few hours ago, police were heard over the scanner wondering about the status of that.

Ah! OK then. Glad someone responded.

This particular 57 has been unreliable all summer long. I have sent emails to Metro complaining about the frequent cancellations and told them to assign reliable drivers to this route. Crickets.

Sorry, comment time is over.
