West Seattle Garden Tour gives the greenery you helped grow

If you went out on the West Seattle Garden Tour five weeks ago (WSB coverage here), you helped support half a dozen nonprofits, who are now reaping the results:

The West Seattle Garden Tour’s Summer Finale was held this evening at the home of Maryanne Tagney and David Jones. There were about 100 people in attendance, including this year’s gardeners, sponsors, committee members, and the six beneficiaries whose projects have been funded by proceeds from this year’s tour. In total, the tour donated $24,500 to six non-profit organizations this year.

The West Seattle Garden Tour is now in its third decade.

15 minute video of Steve Hootman’s  West Seattle Garden Tour luncheon lecture on Rhododendron hunting in Asia.   Fascinating account of his 20 trips to the orient to hunt for rare plants.

This a beautiful example of the work the West Seattle Garden Tour does for the community. Please share the word: https://blueplatedigital.box.com/s/3m44t495o65folx0t09bnrvhavynb4vw

Thanks, Brian. We checked the link so people wouldn’t feel hesitant in clicking – it opens a page in which you can play a video made about the Children’s PlayGarden and how the WSGT benefited it. Nice video! I’ve heard a lot about the PlayGarden but hadn’t seen it before. – Tracy

Sorry, comment time is over.
