West Seattle Crime Watch: Seen this stolen bike?

konabike

In Crime Watch this afternoon – Marie‘s bike has been missing since Saturday:

My bike was stolen from my apartment building at 2250 Bonair Pl SW near Alki Beach. The bike was in the laundry room in a secured building. The robber would have had to wait until the door was propped or had a key. The Kona was a gray mountain bike with “hybrid” tires. The bar handles had scratches.

Bicycles are often stolen to get from crime to crime, so you might spot one dumped somewhere, down a ravine, against a pole or fence – if you do, contact police.

P.S. Speaking of police, last call for tonight’s West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meeting, 7 pm at the SW Precinct (2300 SW Webster) – come hear about local crime trends and ask about your neighborhood concerns.

BIG CAVEAT: I don’t know anything about bikes, BUT I saw something that vaguely resembled that parked on the east side of High Point Library today around 2:00 p.m. with a flat front tire. Maybe give them a jingle and see if it’s still there?

Thanks, Jon. I e-mailed Marie to make sure she would see your comment, just in case.

I called the library and it wasn’t my bike. Thanks for the tip but the bike is still stolen.

Check the admiral.over pass. Don’t go there alone. It just might be there

This bike looks similar to the one in the accident at Main St and 5th Ave on last Saturday night at 10:40 pm. Call the police to check the serial number to see if they match.

What dose the bike say on the lower bar?  Looks like one at the admiral met market

Sorry, comment time is over.
