West Seattle Crime Watch: Burglars hit O’Neill Plumbing

Another West Seattle business has been hit by burglars. This time, O’Neill Plumbing (WSB sponsor) in Morgan Junction. Tim O’Neill tells WSB that they “cut open a fence, punched out locks on trucks, and made off with several tools.” They have surveillance video and are offering a reward. First video shows the burglars’ truck arriving:

Second shows one burglar:

Third clip shows another:

The burglary happened early this morning at O’Neill’s headquarters at 6056 California SW.

Whaaaaaaaaa? This is precisely the time I heard (and was woken up by) a loud female wailing just across the street from O’Neill’s that sounded like it might be coming from the apartments. I actually got out of bed and went down to the street to investigate, thinking for sure it was a drunken tirade of sorts. It quieted down so I went back to bed without calling it in. Grrr… Now kicking myself, as then cops (might) have come to the area.

Perhaps it was a planned diversion of sorts? This is very unsettling.

I’m sorry this happened but you need better cameras.

Night vision cameras at 3 AM are always going to be a challenge. Even then, getting someone tracked down from a camera image and meaningful prosecution can be a trick too.

Sorry this happened O’Neil crew. You’ve patched up my house a few times now, and I already have two things in mind for a repeat visit (snaking a below-ground downspout-sewer connection and replacing a 1″ PRV on a copper line).

O’Neill Plumbing is a great local company with many, many years of service to West Seattle; and provide excellent service.  Long time members of the business community and members of the Chamber of Commerce of West Seattle.  Please  consider asking them to help you with your plumbing needs as they are proven excellent plumbers for our neighborhood.  I have had excellent service from them for clients.  Linda Cox, RE/MAX Junction….

Did see that their back fence (alley) got tagged recently. Am I remembering correctly that sometimes there is a connection between recent tags and impending burglary? Like the tagging is a signal?

That seems to be some bizarre story from Britain. Have never heard of a connection here.

So sorry to hear about this. Oneil Plumbing is a great outfit. They’ve been here forever, family owned, good people, and do fantastic work. This burns me up.  Grrr.  I hope they catch these punks.

Sorry, comment time is over.
