UPDATE: Crash at 35th/Kenyon

3:12 PM: Seattle Police and Fire are headed to a reported crash at 35th and Kenyon. According to scanner traffic, a motorcycle rider is involved. That’s all we know so far; avoid the area for a while.

3:31 PM: No traffic effects; Seattle Fire has already left the scene. The motorcycle is on Kenyon just east of 35th; the only police left at the scene were talking with what appeared to be the rider, and another person.

Sorry to hear, but Wow, it’s even on precious @kubly’s single lanes-NO  MORE DIET – it doesn’t help!

I don’t know if the crash was even on 35th – as updated above, all involved were on Kenyon east of 35th (alongside the Tap Station) by the time I arrived from not-so-far-away. Any time a motorcycle or bicycle rider or pedestrian is involved, they call a Med 6 response for SFD just in case, but obviously no injuries of note in this case. – TR

Dear D. Morrison…accidents happen in many places…keep the single lanes to make it sane. Thank you…

Interested to know what happened, the turns on to and off 35th from the east stretch of Kenyon have a lot of visibility issues. I asked the city to take a look but they said since the measurements of the intersection fit their requirements, they aren’t looking to makes changes to improve visibility. I hope they reconsider this with Roxhill moving to the EC Hughes building and Kenyon Junction getting busier.

I used to a few homes from this corner. I would never turn onto 35th from Kenyon. You can’t see ever!!!! I would go down a few blocks south to the light at Thistle. It gives you and your car a better chance of survival. That may have not been the issue here, but that intersection is a nightmare.
