YOU CAN HELP: Give books for Sanislo Elementary sale

Have books you just don’t need? Donate them to the upcoming Sanislo Elementary book sale! Sanislo PTA parent volunteer Lena Charles sent the request:

We are requesting book donations from the community to support our annual fundraiser for the 4th graders here at Sanislo. It is their
annual trip to Camp Sealth on Vashon Island and it’s a 3-day jampacked science field trip that is super fun for them.

Our book sale is scheduled for April 2, 10 am to 2 pm, to alleviate the overall cost to our local families. We are a diverse community with families facing all different challenges; I have been here with my daughter for 4 years, rallying for these children. Donations can be dropped off directly at the school or if you need pickup, the quickest way to get a hold of me is via text, 360-771-3590.

Even if you don’t have books to give for the sale, set a reminder for the date and go browse/buy to help with the camp fund. Sanislo is at 1812 SW Myrtle on Puget Ridge. (This will of course be in our West Seattle Event Calendar, too.)

When is this book sale? The Events Calendar has pages to look through and I just don’t see it.

Is there some way to get hold of Ms. Charles for a non-tech stay at me? With bookshelves that need clearing?

It’s in the story. April 2nd is the sale. If you can’t text with your phone, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind a voice call at the same number.

L was a pleasure to speak with, she made arrangements with me to stop by and pick up books donated. I want to thank all my customers who have donated books we filled the little library’s in our neighborhood and donated to WSFB with them. Let’s get more for Sanislo please. HC – MBHC
