Police investigating possible Puget Ridge gunfire

12:45 AM: Once again, police are investigating reports of possible gunfire on Puget Ridge. We’re hearing about it via text and scanner. No injuries reported but possible damage.

2:46 AM: We haven’t been able to reach police to find out if any evidence of gunfire was found, nor has anything we’ve monitored indicated one way or another. One call has been classified as a “disturbance.”

I heard this about 40 minutes ago over in the Genesee area. Sounded like one round of 5-6 shots, then a quick two more following it.

Thanks. These can be notoriously hard to track but it’s worth having some kind of open record; this area in particular seems to be part of a trend. And now dispatch has another call of more, 15 minutes or so. There have been multiple mentions of a silver vehicle being seen, possibly associated. – TR

I heard the same about 12:35 from near Andover and 37th. The sound must have carried across the Delridge valley as it sounded pretty sharp and clear.

Heard it very clear around graham and 17th, where I love. I’d say it was 6 shots, then about 3 or 4 more after a pause. Sounded it was coming from up on 18th, around graham. Pisses me off. Hopefully Buddha was right about karma.

12:20am heard approx 6 shots and then another few shortly after in Puget Ridge (18th and Brandon). Also, heard shots in same area on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Tuesday just one around 10pm and Wednesday multiple around 11:20pm.

I called 911 at 12:46 reporting 6 gunshots followed by a round of 3 or 4 around the 6400 block of 16th Ave SW. This Is the 2nd time in a week. I called on 3/2 at 11:222 reporting a series of gunshots. I believe they’re joy riders but I’m getting sick of it! Hope they catch them.

Shots were coming from the 6400 block of 18th Ave, both last night, and several days ago.

unfortunately, these are my immediate neighbors.  Police have responded in both instances, but I don’t know any details from last night.

    This is getting ridiculous.

We called around 12:30 as well after everyone in the house heard 5 or so gun shots. We are on 17th SW, sounded like it was coming from 18th SW. It was loud enough to rattle the windows. 2nd time we have heard gunshots this week. It is such a good community of great people so it is sad to see that gunshots are becoming common. We have kids that go to both Denny and Sanislo. Wish there wAs some way to help end the gunplay.

This is exactly the dumb *bleep* I was talking about on another thread. I wouldn’t be surprised if these POS were shooting off their guns just to see if it would be on the blog.

This is the kind of stupid mentality to think it’s fun and/or funny to randomly shoot off a gun. These people are idiots and when someone gets hurt or worse because of their stupidity and they get caught they’ll be crying a river about how they didn’t mean to hurt anyone.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same dumb POS who flashed a gun by the school the other day.

Hey POS, if you’re reading this, as a gun owner with a CPL, having a gun doesn’t make you cool or “tough”. Owning a gun is a serious responsibility. It is a dangerous weapon and it needs to be treated accordingly. Running around randomly shooting a gun only shows you lack the maturity and responsibility needed to have one in your possession and when you get caught, I hope they throw the book you, making you a felon for the rest of your life.

If it was the 6400 block of 18th, it makes sense why it sounded like it was on my 6300 block of 16th. I was in bed at the back of the house and overlook 17th and 18th so with the houses so closes together it could echo and sound like it’s on my street. It is becoming a too common occurence and I hope they catch them in the act and take the guns away and get them off the streets before they hurt someone or do damage to innocent people’s property. Replacing broken windows in a car or house isn’t cheap. I pray for a quiet night. Didn’t get to sleep until after 4am because after all of this, a car alarm went off. I did see a stolen vehicle report this morning from SW Barton.

Sorry, comment time is over.
