From the ‘in case you wondered files’: Saturday photo shoot on Duwamish Head

We spotted that row of “No Parking” signs, from Luna Park eastward to Duwamish Head, this afternoon, and took a closer look. Any time you see a series of signs like that, some of them are supposed to have explanatory information attached, and once we found those infosheets, we discovered that 10 am-7 pm on Saturday, the spaces are saved for a “production shoot” by Sean Cope Pictures. We sent and left messages, and received a reply saying it will be “just plate shots for a car/lifestyle photo shoot. Very small shoot. Nobody famous, just a local shoot.” So if you see the crew on Saturday, now you know.

Lived on Duwamish head for many years across from anchor park and saw a few car commercials shot there 30 years ago. My 5 yo kept telling me there was a cow in the yard. Knowing her vivid imagination I kept telling her I was busy under the sink and there wasn’t a cow in the yard. She persisted, i got up to look and there was a cow in the yard. At the park shooting a dairy commercial. I ate crow over a cow and then some pizza and ice cream.

I wonder if it’s for the new i3 car share service that BMW is going to be bringing here soon since San Fran killed that there. Sean Cope Pictures does car shoots for BMW.

Mike, they’re here already – all over Belltown (near the old Ralph store). I’ve been wondering. Now I know. :)
