No injuries reported, but traffic is slow at Highland Park Way and Holden while a multi-vehicle crash is cleared, so if you’re heading out any time soon and have to go through that busy intersection, you might consider an alternative, or waiting a bit. And so that awful intersection strikes again. When will we get traffic regulation??
That intersection is rough. When you’re turning left from Holden onto Highland Park Way, it’s hard to tell whether you’re clear to turn. No wonder there are frequent accidents. Also traffic frequently backs up Holden so drivers take shortcuts through the neighborhood. Not good.
At one point in the recent past I recall there being a blog post about an accident at this spot. In the comments section at least one person had commented that SDOT is/was considering this spot for a traffic calming circle or traffic light. Not sure where this stands or if still under consideration.
