Friday night was the only scheduled crosstown-rivalry match of the year for Chief Sealth International High School and West Seattle High School‘s girls-varsity basketball teams. Above are friendly adversaries, Sealth head coach Katie Jo Maris and WSHS’s new head coach Darnell Taylor. The stands were full in the CSIHS gym and the game was intense despite the lopsided final score, Wildcats 70, Seahawks 28.

West Seattle remains undefeated.

Both teams’ next games are at 7:30 pm Wednesday – the Wildcats play Lakeside, while the Seahawks are home vs. Rainier Beach.
