West Seattle Crime Watch: One stolen car; two found bikes

In West Seattle Crime Watch this morning – one stolen car and two possibly stolen, abandoned bicycles. First, just out of the WSB inbox, from Grace:

My blue 1997 Geo Prism was taken from in front of our house on 11th Ave SW in Highland Park in the last few hours. If anyone should see it around, much appreciate their contacting SPD (case # 15 410052) so I might be able to retrieve it. License plate ANC 4242. Thanks.

Two bicycles have turned up, abandoned and likely stolen. First, Gary found this one left outside his garage door – “Body is painted over in blue and black. No sign of brand name.”:

And Patrick says the next one was abandoned in the 3200 block of Benton Pl. SW sometime last week:

Something for Crime Watch? Once you’ve reported it to police, e-mail us – editor@westseattleblog.com – unless it’s breaking news, in which case, please text or call 206-293-6302 – thank you!

How do I get in touch with Gary, who found the mountain bike? It looks like it could be the one that was stolen from my apartment in Highland Park last year.

Hi, Dan – someone else e-mailed to ask the same thing and I’m waiting to hear back from Gary.

No my friend, that’s my bike that was stolen out from my apartment building last week. I am the one that painted it and have the leftover paint. I can describe it because I tried to make it look like trash so nobody would steal it. West Seattle bike shop just did repairs on it, so please feelfree to call them and verify the true owner. Now, how do I contact Gary please somebody

Hi, Hector, do you have the police report # for your theft? Also, which West Seattle bike shop would that be? Cyclery in The Junction?

Just another FYI, that is the second bike stolen from me on 42nd Ave S.W. in six weeks. The other was a brown Raleigh. In the alley behind tirthy one flavors. I have caught a guy named Wade Hutchison who was living in a storage unit across from B of A on Admiral way, he’s been steeling from our neighborhood for years. He’s also the big mouth that yells and s reams up to my nice neighbor for attention. Looks like a protection order is in order !
