UPDATE: Crash on northbound 35th SW near Camp Long

11:29 PM: Thanks to Clark for the photo. A multiple-car crash – Clark says he counted three – has been blocking northbound 35th SW near Hudson, in the Camp Long area. No major injuries reported but police were reported to be searching – with a K-9 – for a driver who was reported to have walked away from the crash. And nearby resident Karen says northbound traffic has been diverting to 36th.

1:29 AM: The detour’s over, Karen reports, so we’re deducing that 35th is clear.

It’s clear, it’s not wet out there…wonder if speed was a factor. Came back from Capitol Hill after the game, and was amazed at how many people were in a hurry when I hit the Spokane St. Viaduct, the westbound bridge, Admiral Way…I was 5 miles over the speed limit, and people were flying by me. :(

Jan, my theory is Seahawk-Loss-Induced-Road-Rage. I notice much more aggressive driving during my commute the day after a disappointing Seahawks loss, so it is probably more intense the night of the game.

It was an impaired driver. Our sons car was also rear-ended while he was driving it and he was spun around into Hudson Street.

The guy flew past me, ran a red light, and not 500ft from the light he crashed. He got out and crossed the street and ran towards the providence building.
On my way back to the CD I passed 2 more accidents. Drunken road rage?

Drunken, reckless driving is not okay. I hope that they locate the driver responsible AND punishment is handed out accordingly. This type of behavior is generally not taken too seriously in our region, unfortunately. Hopefully something changes.

What bothered me most wS that after he was helped out of his car, he made no attempt or showed any concern that someone may have been hurt in the other cars. HD just ran like a coward once the initial shock wore off.

Sorry, comment time is over.
