FERRY ALERT: Fauntleroy-Vashon-Southworth returning to three-boat schedule by mid-morning Thursday

After three days on a 2-boat schedule because of repair work elsewhere in the system, Washington State Ferries says the “Triangle” route will be back to 3 boats tomorrow:

The Tillikum will rejoin the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route by mid-morning, Thursday, July 23. The route will return to the regular, three-boat schedule at that time. Thank you for your patience during the recent temporary downsizing of this route.

Thank goodness. I can think of many feelings we’ve felt. “Patience” ain’t one of them. Particularly as the busses on the Vashon side have’t been waiting for passengers on the delayed boats. Which is a big, big problem when there is, as there sometimes is, 2.5 hours between busses.

Did anyone today see the Hiyu ferry running the route?

It is on Vessel Watch right now – left Vashon at 8:54 – no scheduled arrival or destination so I have a suspicion it’s headed back to Eagle Harbor to return to standby status.

When will the jack hammering end on the dock? It was still going at 10:30 last night and reverberated throughout Fauntleroy Cove!!

Sorry, comment time is over.
