ALERT: ‘Noisy overnight work’ next week at Fauntleroy ferry dock

Thanks to the Fauntleroy ferry dock neighbor who shared a notice that’s just been circulated in the area: “Noisy overnight work” is planned four nights next week, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 pm to 5:30 am, to fix pavement problems on the dock. (If you live nearby, you are probably aware of some work this past week – we don’t know yet if that was related.) See the notice here; it says in part, “Existing asphalt pavement around deck drains is failing, exposing underlying timber deck to rain water and potential rotting.” No WSF website alert about this yet.

Interesting that I haven’t talked to one neighbor yet that received notice!

They are jackhammering and having pure tone back up vehicle beeps. The notice says neither is allowed. This work could have been done in the cooler weather when we have the windows closed. They did absolutely no community outreach. Just handed a notice saying noise violations would be happening.
Anybody who notices that they are violating even what they got permitted for please notify.

DPD granted the variance, per the notice. Its violation hotline “for time-sensitive complaints” is (206) 615-0808. I don’t know what happens after you call but if the terms of the notice are being violated, it is important that you call. More info on complaints:

Thank you for the phone number – they violated both sound level and time restrictions last week – jackhammering until WAY after 10pm. I reached out to the WSF info person who replied quickly although he didn’t know any work was being done until he investigated!

Sorry, comment time is over.
