Sorry we didn’t mention this in real time, but we’ve received a few questions, so we’re mentioning it now: The big Seattle Fire response in the 6900 block of Delridge Way SW just after 10 am turned out to be a small kitchen fire, according to SFD – most units dismissed quickly, no injuries reported.
Do you have a more precise location? That’s the block I live on. I’m at work and a little concerned for my skittish cat.
The SFD log currently shows it as 6901. We do not generally spotlight exact addresses until and unless we can confirm them at the scene, as SFD sometimes has to correct the address later, responding at first to what it believes to be the address based on who called 911. – TR
