Spring cleaning? West Seattle shredding, recycling dates to save

For everyone who’s asked if any free shredding events are coming up in West Seattle – we FINALLY have word of one: 1-4 pm Sunday, April 19th, at High Point Branch Library (35th/ Raymond) – details here. Then, to recycle what you can’t put at curbside, it’s Fauntleroy Church‘s spring Recycle Roundup – 9 am-3 pm Sunday, April 26th; yes/no list here.

Still no TV’s even though they take “Computer monitors” which consist of the identical components. Maybe they’re trying to avoid those big console TV’s in the huge cabinets since they have the large wooden enclosures and they don’t want “wooden furniture.”

Goodwill in Burien will take any and all TVs through a state program that ensures the manufacturers share in the costs of recycling. Check out “E-cycle” on the state website.

Sorry, comment time is over.
