2015 Election: 10th candidate for District 1 City Council, just announced – Pavel Goberman

1:57 PM: An 10th name has turned up on the city website as a candidate for the new District 1 (West Seattle/South Park) City Council seat – Pavel Goberman. Though his website, getenergized.com, describes him as a “Portland fitness guru,” and he has run for offices in Oregon in the past, the Seattle candidacy declaration puts him at a Highland Park address.

IN THE DISTRICT 1 RACE NOW: Pavel Goberman (declared 3/5/2015), Tom Koch (declared 2/19/15), Dave Montoure (declared 2/17/15), Lisa Herbold (declared 2/11/15), Shannon Braddock (declared 2/11/15), Brianna Thomas (declared 2/11/15), Phillip Tavel (declared 2/4/15), George Capestany (declared 11/11/14), Amanda Kay Helmick (declared 10/20/14), Chas Redmond (declared 12/20/13). Filing deadline is May 15th; primary election is August 4th. Along with voting on the D-1 position, West Seattle/South Park also will vote on the two “at-large” spots, Positions 8 and 9.

2:48 PM NOTE: Thanks to Diane for correcting us. Somehow we leapfrogged #10 and declared this to be the 11th – Goberman is candidate #10, and we have corrected that above.

No kidding Pangolinpie, how did you manage to get so far into that site? I had a headache after about 15 seconds. The multiple colors and mixed fonts are atrocious. I now know at least one candidate who will not be on my shortlist. Good grief.

I just don’t trust someone who easily says that his system of microelectric currents or whatever they are , can cure/prevent cancer..or whatever.

All joking aside, you know with this many candidates running, the vast majority of votes will be voting AGAINST the top two winners in the primary election, which insures that they will not be representing the votes of vast majority of the citizens of the district. Now granted these 10 probably represent about 10 shades of grey, or should we say blue, and for the most part probably agree on more things than they disagree on. Nonetheless, with this many candidates, the majority of votes will have voted against whomever wins. Chew on that for a bit…

Thank to all who visited my website and comments, and …. do not give me any “donation”: I do NOT accept any “contribution” and will not be a puppet in hands of donors.
There is no need big money in elections, but obey the Constitution of the USA. Stop selling this country and buy elections: so many people died and are dying NOT for it.
The Oregon media junta / mafia, which for own huge monetary benefits hijacked state, this country and brainwash people, blocked my election, didn’t invited me on Forum of Candidates for US Senator, because I didn’t pay it, named it a cancer of our society, a public enemy, and promoted an idiot Merkley, who, as I predicted, and some who know him, is a moron: did nothing good for nation, but occupys space in We the People’s office. “Talking Machine” Obama likes this kind of people who support him.
It is so boring job to sit on one place as a Member of City Council without movement, but I’m running because I do NOT see any one better than me could help city in creation of jobs, improve heavy traffic, fight crimes and etc. It is possible to make Seattle an example for all nation.
If I will see some Candidate could more beneficial than me in helping this city and country – I will not run.
Change dirty diapers: all members of US Congress: Senate and House are dysfunctional and must be fired for creation huge debt and etc.
But for now: who want to do completion with me (77) to swim using butterfly stroke, pull ups and etc? Welcome!
