West Seattle Crime Watch: Seen this eye-catching bicycle?

Michael‘s bicycle is “instantly recognizable,” as he puts it. And now it’s gone … so he’s hoping that if you see it, you’ll be able to help him get it back. He’s part of the Alki Beach Creeps bike club; his “beach cruiser” bike was stolen in Pioneer Square. Call 911 if you see it.

That’s a really cool cruiser. I’ll keep my eyes open here. Bummer…

When was it taken? I saw someone riding that bike (or one exactly like it) downtown a few days ago.

Did you try tweeting your picture to the BikeIndex?

Watch for it on http://www.craigslist.org, under the category and subcategory of For Sale, then click on Bikes. It may show up there. If it does, call the police with your information so that they might do a “buy” on your behalf. I hope you have the serial number. It would certainly help for a positive identification.

Can you put me in touch with the owner of this bike? I think I have a picture of this bike with someone on it in downtown Seattle. Alerted SPD nearby but not sure if they were able to catch up to it.

Sorry, comment time is over.
