Congratulations to Bill Fry, vice president of administration for West Seattle Soccer Club, honored as national Administrator of the Year award by U.S. Youth Soccer. WSSC’s Tim McMonigle explains, “Over the past year, he had moved up by winning at the club, association, district, state, region, and now the national level. This is a huge honor, and continues our recent successes at the national level with others from our club that have represented our club and association very well.” As the announcement notes, while Fry was WSSC president, the number of registered players nearly doubled.

Well deserved! My son’s long grown from WSSC but the best memory we have is of how enthusiastic and supportive Bill was: pure positivity.

I’ve never met a more compassionate, passionate, wise, and caring human being. I don’t say that lightly. I don’t think Bill’s contribution to his community, from West Seattle outward, can truly be measured; the hours he puts into making the world a better place exhausts me thinking about it. If you looked up role model, Bill’s picture should be there. Etc. Go Bill!

That’s fantastic! He should be known as Bill Fry the Soccer Guy.

When you take into consideration the huge impact that Bill has had on our soccer club and local community, you begin to realize the living legacy that he has created and continues to develop. We are incredibly blessed to have such a warm-hearted and gifted individual representing our youth in this community… long live Bill Fry!

Ditto what other commenters have said. Bill is not only happy but eager to help. His passion for all things soccer is so so clear. My family has been involved with WSSC as players, coaches and referees, and Bill has been a huge part of the success at all of those levels. Congrats, Bill!!!

We love Bill Fry too! A little known, non-soccer related fact about this amazing man – he manages one of our WestSide Baby leases so we can store diapers and more. With that, he supports us EVERY time we need him (like when big donations arrive and a forklift is needed!) and even comes up with ideas to help us generate donations of pajamas and pants through soccer camps. All of this happens while he also has a full-time, very demanding day job and yet that smile never fades and no interruption is turned away – EVER. Any and all awards should go to Bill.

We in the West Seattle community are so fortunate to have public servants like Bill making our community a better place. His boundless energy, high integrity, solid leadership, and deep commitment have created such an ideal environment for our West Seattle youth to learn to appreciate the “beautiful game.” Thank you Bill and congratulations!
