PHOTOS: Seahawks’ Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith draws hundreds to West Seattle Thriftway

West Seattle Thriftway (WSB sponsor) already had a triple-digit crowd on hand within a few minutes of the start of Seattle Seahawks‘ Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith‘s appearance tonight.

He’s scheduled to be there until 8 pm.

(The products/logos are from P&G, sponsor of the event, in case you wondered.)

(We’ve added photos since original posting.) Smith and the Seahawks host the 49ers next Sunday (December 14th).

The line wasn’t too bad and Malcolm was a class act. What a patient and kind man! I congratulated him on his success and made way for the next guy. Thank you Malcolm!!

Ha. My husband just ran for the store for a second and was wondering what was going on. Given he is a life long 49er fan, he was not impressed. Go 9ers!!!

Not impressed? Like the performance of the Niners against the Raiders?

Typical ‘9er fan response — glad our Seahawk players and fans keep up the respect! GO HAWKS!

I’m guessing your hubby ain’t all too impressed with this year’s whiners either (despite their recent charity to their Bay brethren in Oakland). Cheers to Mr. Smith. Thanks for the visit.

Whiner fans have no room to talk. Seahawks players are classy and give back to their community. In addition, fan or not the Seahawks performance has been very impressive. Thank goodness we have a great quarterback in Russell Wilson whose maturity and class is beyond compare.

I’m a Niner fan too, but Malcolm is the real deal. Spent time with him at a recent USC game and he’s a good guy. Clearly not our year and it’s great to see the city rally around the Hawks. Hard to say, but our team can take a page from the Hawks. I’m not a whiner and can call it like it is. Hawks gelling at the right time with a scary, healthy D. That said, go Niners!

Go Niners! Hawks are the team to beat as the season heads down the final stretch. Doesn’t mean I won’t be pulling for the Niners. Hawks fever is good for the city, bad for my fall Sundays this year. But I can man up and admit it like Easydoesit. No whining here even at 7-6.

It must be funny to be signing autographs for all those fans wearing jerseys with other players names….

Cool to see some Wildcats there! It’s great for our young players to see some class acts like Malcolm Smith to look up to.

Sorry, comment time is over.
