West Seattle Crime Watch: Anyone seen this stolen Rodeo?

Unpleasant surprise for a West Seattle couple whose SUV was stolen while they were away for the holiday weekend. But maybe you can help them get it back, if you see it. From Rebecca:

My boyfriend and I arrived home last night to discover his car stolen and we made a police report. According to our landlord, the car has been gone for a “couple days,” so we are guessing it was stolen Sat night after we left town. It is a dark blue ’90s Isuzu Rodeo and has a W. SEA sticker on the back window and his back license plate cover says “Patrick” on it. It also has some paint damage on the driver-side door. There was no glass on the ground in the area it was parked, so we are assuming none of the windows were busted out.

Please call 911 with any info on its whereabouts.

What general location in West Seattle was your car stolen from?

I believe Fairmount Springs – sorry, I somehow omitted the location info, going back to doublecheck the note sent.

For what it’s worth, the news this week showed a woman’s Kia was stolen somewhere in Seattle. She had downloaded an “app” that went with the GPS ($800)she purchased with the car through a dealership and was able to not only “track” her stolen car on her smartphone but literally turn her car off remotely with the help of 911 while she was on the phone. They did recover her car and track it in real time, within hours. Not sure what channel it was on, maybe 13.

Yes, it was stolen from the Fairmount Park area…off 37th Ave SW. And the paint damage is actually on the passenger side door, I put drivers side by mistake.

The Isuzu Rodeo was found by the police in the Fred Meyer parking lot in Burien. Everything was missing from inside, and one of the tires was slashed but it was in drivable condition after putting on the spare. Thanks for posting WSB!

Sorry, comment time is over.
