West Seattle food: New location for Taqueria El Antojo truck

1:47 PM: Two weeks ago, the Mexican-food truck that had been headquartered north of Morgan Junction Park for about six months, Taqueria El Antojo, abruptly was told to move. The owners told us that they would share the news when they found a new location, and that information has just come in. Their truck is now at the 76 station north of Lincoln Park, 7427 Fauntleroy Way SW.

ADDED FRIDAY NIGHT: Thanks to Jeff for tweeting a photo:

Great location, Park and ferry traffic.

clicked through previous WSB stories to find this truck’s ‘menu items’
it doesn’t look like they have mulitas, but according to the PDF menu of the Tacoma, Lynnwood, Lakewood and University Place locations, they do have mulitas.

i thought that someone had said that the team running this truck also runs the truck in white center- is that correct- it doesn’t seem like it ? i love the WC taco truck mulitas, but lately have gotten aggressively panhandled by people that do not seems to be sober at/ near that location while waiting for my mulitas.

Boooo!!!!! Loved to walk up there and get their fantastic and cheap tacos. Now they’re out of walking distance. This sucks.

    That’s great!

The family who runs that 76 station are really nice people. (they gently handle a lot of really bad behavior that walks through the door). In the last several years they have expanded the variety and quality of products they stock and improved the store a great deal.

    .

Good to see them sharing their space with other local small business owners.

Glad we didn’t lose them! I hope they get good business, less foot traffic but near 2 parks and a school. I bet they make you a mulita if you ask, they are very sweet people.

Glad to hear they’re back and not too far away! I will miss the short walk to bring tacos back to Beveridge Place though.

I’m glad they found a new home. Their tacos are seriously tasty. And they seem like nice people. I wonder why they were asked to move from Morgan Junction.

    Perfect location!!

At last something to replace the Cat’s Eye snack needs for us WS old timers — you know who you are! For you newbies to WS – and there seems to be a lot these days – (can you please SLOW down on the roads?) – enjoy.

A perfect location for ferry on and offers, as well as park-goers. Great picnic fare. I could not think of a better spot! Thanks you Taqueria El Antojo! Welcome to Lincoln Park!

    Thank you

Sarah, I remember Cat’s Eye! Cute place, with all those cat clocks with the moving eyes. The snacks were pretty good, too.

In search of mulitas: I spoke with the Short Stop truck today and he is the brother of the WC truck you mentioned. Now, the WC truck is great! Good food at a decent price. The Short Stop is #noBueno — really bad food.

Sad to see them leave Morgan Junction, but I’m so happy they have a new spot not too far away!

Well I think its cool that they are there with the parks and all but there are already issues with the trash and dumpsters in the apartments right next door that have no fence to block anyone from using them. The trash people often do not pick up from containers that are in violation of garbage and recycle rules.

Went there this morning and it was awesome! Glad to have them and their salsa back in action :)

they do have mulitas and they are very tasty. bigger than the ones I am used to at La Fondita taco truck in WC. DON’T BE TRICKED by the a la carte menu at Taqueria El Antojo. the mulitas are not 2.25 each, they are actually 3.25 each. get the #10 combo, you only need 2 mulitas.

Sorry, comment time is over.
