Water out? You’re not alone

4:49 PM: We’ve received multiple reports – including this photo courtesy of Kerry – about a water outage in the Hansen View area, southeast of The Triangle (35th/Hudson, 35th/Edmunds so far). Anyone else?

6:27 PM UPDATE: Thanks to Kerry for noting in a comment that the water’s back on – and thanks to everyone else who helped flesh out the details; very helpful since SPU does not have an outage map along the lines of what City Light has.

SPU was fixing a leak in the water main just south of 35th & Alaska. Apparently, they had to shut off more than just the water to the nearby condo…

i’m between fairmount park and the triangle, between 35th and fauntleroy, SW of providence.

all is well here. pressure might be a little low, but water is still flowing.

SPU was repairing a leak in the water main just south of 35th & Alaska. Apparently they had to shut off the water to more than just the nearby condo…

Police, ambulances and a large truck, with people doing stuff in a manhole in front of my house (35th/Dawson)

Thanks! You must be the epicenter. 5000 block of 35th? Aid response listed, not sure about that angle, hope a repair person didn’t get hurt… we will send our photographer over, since the fire call turned out to be nothing.

Thanks for the update! It also appears the emergency response in the 5000 block of 35th SW was not related – there was scanner discussion of a dog bite.

We don’t seem to have water in the 5000 block of 35th SW. Or do you just have to run the air out of the pipes? We’ve got nothing but noise in the faucet.
