Video: See what champion ‘artistic cyclists’ did on 2 wheels during Roxhill Elementary visit before Bike Expo shows

Corrina Hein, Stefan Musu and Lukas Matla – world-champion artistic cyclists from Germany – are performing at the Seattle Bike Expo this weekend, and warmed up by performing at local schools, including West Seattle’s Roxhill Elementary on Friday afternoon, where we of course had to capture them on video:

If you’re going to the Bike Expo, their remaining performances are today at 1:20 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm, and tomorrow at 11:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 3 pm. The expo is at Smith Cove Cruise Terminal in Magnolia.

Want to go to the Bike Expo in style? Join the Tweed Ride, Sunday, March 2nd at 10am. Bring your “brolly” or “mackintosh”, it might rain. Yes, it is possible to bicycle (slowly) with an umbrella.

Dress up in your Sunday best and meet under the West Seattle Bridge at the intersection of the Duwamish and Alki Trails.

The route to Smith Cove Cruise Terminal 91 is 6.5 miles, mostly flat. There is some construction near the Alaskan Way Viaduct, but we’ll have veteran riders with us who will help navigate! There are several options for riding under the Viaduct that include sidewalks and separated bike paths. We will ride at an easy, social pace. Return at 2:00 pm with the group, or any time on your own.

That is some amazing stuff, and kudos to Cascade Bike for bringing in international champions. Saw them yesterday at the Expo a couple of times. I expect them to tumble at least sometime during these many shows, but they never seem to. You can see more of their work (and others) on YouTube.

Sorry, comment time is over.
