West Seattle schools: Tours this morning at Madison, Lafayette

With open enrollment approaching (February 24th-March 7th) for Seattle Public Schools, and ongoing enrollment at many independent schools, it’s prime time for school tours and open houses. Today (Tuesday) we have two on the calendar for this morning – Madison Middle School (45th/Spokane) open for tours 8:30-10 am, Lafayette Elementary (California/Lander) having a tour for parents of incoming kindergarteners at 10 am (reservation required – call ASAP to see if there’s room).     Anyone know if the Madison tour on Thursday evening is for parents only or is it for prospective students? There is zero information on the Madison web site.

      Yump – I checked with Madison person who sent us the announcement (which was only dates/times). She says students are not only welcome, they are ENCOURAGED to attend.

    Are these tours for families who are already scheduled to attend the school next year or is there a different purpose?
