TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Frozen Friday edition

Good morning! No out-of-the-ordinary incidents so far; we start with the bridge cameras:

More cameras, including Viaduct views, are on the WSB Traffic page.

Buses from the Fauntleroy ferry dock will likely be fuller today because the Vashon Water Taxi isn’t running this morning.

The weather’s still colder than usual – mid-20s right now – but the National Weather Service has canceled its weeklong alert for our area, and says we’ll be warming toward more-normal conditions as the weekend proceeds.

8:29 AM: Crash reported on northbound 99 around the south end of the elevated section. Doesn’t sound major but we’re monitoring.

There’s some kind of accident on Ambaum in Burien/White Center, lead blocking the whole way in the northbound direction heading toward Arbor Heights. The road is shut down completely, and there’s a sign saying they are doing an accident investigation. Do you know what’s going on?

All I know is that it was a crash, around SW 124th on Ambaum. Because of the access around there, apparently it was blocked at 116th, or at least that was where they were rerouting Metro. I was offline for a few hours, so missed first word of it around 4:30 or so – don’t have any way of checking if it’s still blocked.

Yes still blocked….Most times it’s a fatal -ssooo sad- accident if the investigation is this long

Sorry, comment time is over.
